| St Lawrence's is a large sandstone building with a history spanning over almost 1000 years. Situated just off of Heanor market place and overlooking a large proportion of the Amber Valley. |
| St Lawrence's has seen a number of changes in it's 1000 year history, it has had at least 5 differing buildings on the spot, from serving a small agricultural community to serving a large town, but it has always been dedicated to making Christ known to the people of Heanor and the surrounding area, St Lawrence's will have numerous events throughout 2007 in celebration of the Silver Jubilee of a major rebuild project of the church that was completed in 1982. |
